Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Honest disclaimer: this is a good-faith starting draft, written to accurately describe what this website does today, not a template padded out with boilerplate. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before relying on this as Aptivate's actual, binding privacy policy, have it checked by a qualified legal professional in your jurisdiction.

Who we are

Aptivate is an AI-fluency training company for small and mid-sized businesses. This policy covers the data practices of this website only. It does not cover any separate training engagement, which is governed by that engagement's own terms and data-processing arrangements.

What data we collect

We keep this deliberately narrow. There are no user accounts or logins on this site, and we do not run a newsletter or marketing email list today. The data we do collect falls into two categories:

  • Contact form. If you fill in the contact form, we collect the name, email address, company, and message you choose to submit. A hidden honeypot field is used to filter automated spam and is never seen or filled in by a real visitor.
  • Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It is described by Vercel as cookieless and privacy-friendly, tracking aggregated metrics like page views, referrers, and general device/location data without setting a cookie or building an individual visitor profile. It does not run in development, only on the deployed site.

Why we collect it

  • Contact form details are used solely to read and respond to your inquiry.
  • Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which pages and content are useful and to spot problems, not to track any individual visitor.

How the contact form is handled today

In its current state, this site has no database and no persistent storage layer. Submitting the contact form does not yet save your details anywhere or forward them by email. That delivery step is still being built. In other words: if you submit the form today, your message is validated and acknowledged, but is not currently retained or delivered anywhere. We're stating this plainly rather than implying a mail pipeline exists before it does. Once a real delivery mechanism is wired up, this policy will be updated to describe it honestly, including how long messages are retained.

Third parties

This site is hosted on Vercel, which also provides the analytics described above. We don't currently share data with any other third party through this website. If that changes, we'll update this policy to name that provider and explain its role before it goes live.

Cookies

This site does not set marketing, advertising, or tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics, the only analytics tool in use, is documented by Vercel as operating without cookies or persistent client-side identifiers. Because of that, and because there is no login or user-account system to maintain a session for, this site does not currently show a cookie-consent banner. We're not a law firm, so we won't assert a firm legal conclusion here. If that assessment ever needs revisiting, we'll reassess and update this section and the site accordingly.

Data retention

Since contact form submissions are not currently stored in any database, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on that front today. Analytics data is aggregated and processed by Vercel as part of its Web Analytics product; we do not separately export or store raw analytics data ourselves.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are a resident of the EU or EEA, you have rights over any personal data concerning you, including the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction (rectification) of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.
  • Object to how your data is processed.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have a question about how we handle data, contact us directly. See below.

Changes to this policy

As this site and what it does evolves (for example, once contact form delivery is wired up), we'll update this page to keep it an accurate description of current practice, and update the date at the top.
